I am a passionate, committed teacher and keen to develop the full potential of all my pupils, whatever their aspirations. For me, teaching is one of the most gratifying professions, and can have the power to shape someone’s life through education, encouragement and inspiration. Whether for personal satisfaction, or entering examinations, it is my job as a teacher to help them achieve their goals.

I aspire to instill a passion for music into each student I meet, whether its for one lesson, or for many. I believe it is important to understand the sounds around us, and learning music can help us with our many other aspects of life. I give them opportunities to perform and play with other musicians and to encourage them to attend local courses, and events. I care about each individual student and strife to enhance their musical understand each time.

I have worked with students of all ages including young children, young adults, and adults. Each person represents a new challenge, and I am happy to work with beginners intermediate and advanced students. Whether in a private lesson, workshop or course, my goal is to impart knowledge to each student. It could be regarding technique, style, phrasing, sound, programming, stage presence, practice techniques or even just aspects of life.

I teach as a peripatetic in harp and piano for Rhondda Cynon Taf Music Service and CAVMS, and I teach privately in my home in Sarn, Bridgend, South Wales.
